‘Building a Shared Southeast Asian Identity’ is the theme of the photo contest organised by Seameo Innotech. It aims to promote awareness of a shared Southeast Asian identity and to help build up teaching-learning resources.

It is open to all Southeast Asian citizens (from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam)

First prize: $500
Deadline for entries: 15 June 2013

What is the Photo Contest all about?
SEAMEO INNOTECH launched the Weaving Identities: A Teacher Toolkit Towards a Southeast Asian Community that contains teaching-learning resources to help develop the core value of Southeast Asian-ness (shared Southeast Asian heritage) as well as respect for the diversity of the region. Through the photo contest, SEAMEO INNOTECH aims to promote awareness of a shared Southeast Asian Identity, and enjoin everyone to contribute in building up the teaching-learning resources.

What are we looking for?
With the theme, Building a Shared Southeast Asian Identity, SEAMEO INNOTECH will select photos that will depict a shared Southeast Asian identity for the three categories: Culture, Politics, and Economy. The Southeast Asian identity, in this context, is the product of the interactions among the peoples of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Images may highlight commonalities within the region, forms of linkages, and/or differences.

Who can send entries?
The contest is open to all Southeast Asian citizens except SEAMEO INNOTECH regular staff of the Solutions Development Unit, ERIO Manager, and the two (2) SEAMEO INNOTECH judges.

How many can I send?
You can submit a maximum of six (6) entries. This would mean a total of two photos per category if you decide to join all categories.

What are the categories?
There are three categories: Culture, Politics, and Economy.

Prizes
Cash prizes for each category are as follows:

• First Prize $500
• Second Prize $300
• Third Prize $150

All winners will be notified via email on the third week of June 2013.

The list of winners and winning photos per category will be published in the Weaving Identities: A Teacher Toolkit Towards a Southeast Asian Community and SEAMEO INNOTECH websites by 30 June 2013.

1. Boleh menggunakan model dan figuran
2. Harus karya asli peserta
3. Harus karya fotografi, bukan lukisan dan grafis atau semacamnya
4. Konsep foto harus jelas dan seusai ketentuan
5. Pengolahan dengan Photoshop diperbolehkan, tetapi minimalis

1. Harus ada situasi atau adegan novel “Absolutely Him” dalam foto.
2. Dikirim ke Tim Kreatif, Penerbit Andi, Jl Beo 38-40 Yogyakarta 55281
3. Cara pengiriman dalam bentuk foto print out (dikertas foto) ukuran 10 R, disertai kalimat inspiratif sesuai dengan yang di-upload di FB.
4. Foto harus di-upload ke FB masing-masing, boleh di-tag ke teman-teman peserta, tapi tidak wajib.
5. Jumlah like terbanyak menjadi acuan juri

10. Tulis kalimat inspiratif di bawah foto yang di-upload
